The death of a 2-week-old baby boy who contracted herpes following a Bris Milah, is being investigated by the Brooklyn District Attorneys Office.
A spokesman for DA Charles Hynes yesterday confirmed that prosecutors are looking into the Sept. 28, 2011, death at Maimonides Hospital.
Metzitzah B’peh was performed at the Bris Milah.
The story was first broken by the NY Daily News, this past weekend. It is not known why the story was first reported 6 months after the tragic death.
