Sniper fire from Hamas-controlled Gaza rang out at about 9:00am on Thursday morning. A tractor driver working fields of Kibbutz Nir Am was targeted by the gunfire. Baruch Hashem the first shots did not strike him and he was quick to react, jumping out of the driver’s seat and using the tractor to shield him while waiting for troops to arrive.
B’chasdei Hashem the driver was extricated out of range without physical injuries. The tractor was hit by several shots.
