IDF Chief Ganz: Israel has Devastating Power

In response to mounting Iranian threats to wipe out Israel, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz warned that anyone testing Israel’s abilities will be met with “devastating force”, boasting the IDF has the “world’s best soldiers and officers”.

Iran has turned up the volume of its propaganda machine however while some may simply chalk up the statements as nothing more than rhetoric, some experts in Israel point out that in the case of Iran, Tehran generally makes good on its statements and therefore, warnings and threats must be taken seriously.

A number of senior officials in Jerusalem recently pointed out that Iran is unique in that while it makes statements to annihilate Israel, it continues to advance its non-conventional weaponry program along with weapons testing and development, giving additional cause to regard statements released by Iranian officials with the utmost of seriousness.

  1. All it takes is for Pakistan to “loan” some of their nukes to the other Muslim states, and Israel is in big trouble. That way Pakistan gets to have its nukes tested under field conditions, all the better to intimidate India, and without having to risk retaliation.

While Iran, like most Arab states, demonstrates the goyim’s proverb of a dog’s bark being worse than its bite – Israel has reason to worry. If Israeli overreacts, they may be worse off than if they do nothing.

  2. Our IDF Chief of Staff is talking large about “devastating force”. What will he do about the lack of IDF spirit to effect a total victory. Too much talk reveals weakness of spirit, a weakness that needs covering up. If he believes he has the strength he should not talk and demonstrate the strength. Past IDF performance has shown they are afraid to win a decisive victory. Just a partial victory is a total defeat, maybe worse. We need to increase the merit of Torah and mitzvos and faith in the Protector of Israel not some lightweight secular talker. Very discouraging to have such leaders.

  3. “lightweight secular talker”? Benny Gantz earned his stripes in the trentches, fighting for Ahm Israel. May I humbly enquire what you have done for Ahm Israel? How many blatt Gemarah do you honestly know? In this trying times, we don’t need kibitzers offering unsolicited advice. Many people in Israel are terrified by the rhetoric coming from Iran. It already affected alyiah and business negatively. Gantz is trying to re-assure the population that the army has the means to fight the genocidal Iranian regime. Lightweight talkers like you are a burden to the k’lal.
