Both tubes of the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel, formerly known as the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel, are now open to traffic in both directions.

Trucks are still barred from the tunnel until further notice.

Both of the tunnel’s tubes were flooded during�Hurricane�Sandy. One of the tubes had reopened to buses on Nov. 12 and to cars on Nov. 13.
