UPDATE 3:40PM IL: IDF soldier, 28-year-old Boris Yarmulnik HY”D, of Netanya, who was critically wounded in a rocket attack in southern Israel on Wednesday 7 Kislev 5773, died of his massive injuries in Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva today.

UPDATE: 11:19AM IL: IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz has ordered to gradually release soldiers called up for emergency service during Operation Pillar of Defense.
UPDATE: 11:11AM IL: It is now reported that the sirens sounded earlier were due to rocket firings. Two rockets fired at Israeli communities landed in Gaza.

UPDATE 2:07AM IL: The IDF has released a summary of operations completed under “Operation Pillar of Defense” in Gaza over the last eight days.
It says that it hit 1,500 terror sites, including:
– 30 senior Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists
– 19 command centers
– 980 underground rocket launchers
– 140 smuggling tunnels
– 66 tunnels used for terrorist operations
– 42 Hamas facilities
– 26 weapons manufacturing facilities
– and dozens of long-range rocket launchers and launch sites
UPDATE 1:15AM IL: Khaled Meshal says that Hamas does not take credit for the Tel Aviv bus bombing on Wed, instead he blame PM Netanyahu.
“Not Hamas… not other people from Hamas,” Meshal told CNN. “No one can announce except those who committed, not me…It is Netanyahu with his crimes, in killing the kids of Gaza, and the continuity of aggression. He create such ramifications everywhere. This could lead to any kind of reaction as retaliation for what happened in Gaza.”
UPDATE: 12:00AM IL: With the clock striking midnight on Wednesday evening / Thursday morning, Israel has now entered the 9th day of a constant rocket barrage against much of Southern Israel.
Just a few hours ago Israel agreed to a ceasefire with Hamas, officially ending “Operation Pillar of Defense”, but the terror group has not ceased firing rockets into Israel. In the hour after the ceasefire, more than 12 rockets were fired into Israel.
