Report: Hillary Clinton Turns Down Bloomberg’s Invitation To Run For Mayor

The following is a NY1 report:

NY1 has learned from a source that Mayor Michael Bloomberg reached out to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to ask her to consider running for mayor next year, but she declined.

The source familiar with the conversation described the conversation as “off the grid.”

There would be several obstacles to a Clinton mayoral bid, chiefly that she is not a city resident.

The mayor’s office had no official comment.

  1. This was an excuse” for Mayor Bloomberg to run for a FOURTH term, in spite of the two-term limit previously approved in a referendum.

Obviously, Billionaire Bloomberg believes that laws apply to everyone else, not him!

  2. I’m not sure if Bloomberg realizes how this is supposed to work. Until he usurped dictatorial powers, there used to be elections in which eligible candidates would run for mayor and the people of NY would vote. He is not the king – he doesn’t decide who he would like to hand over his powers to. I used to not mind Bloomberg too much until his third term…
