NYC School Bus Driver Strike Could End Next Week

The New York City school bus driver strike could come to an end as early as next Tuesday.

The National Labor Relations Board is expected to rule on a formal complaint from the bus companies claiming the strike is illegal.

The bus companies are being fined for missed routes and say they’re being punished for a dispute between the city and school bus driver’s union.

Drivers went on strike last Wednesday to protest the city’s plan to re-bid bus contracts — a move that they say jeopardizes their job security.

More than 150,000 students depend on the buses to get to school.

  1. According to 1010 Wins, the strike could end THIS Tuesday, if the National Labor Relations Board rules in favor of the bus companies. Which one is correct?
