Leading Medical Experts will Address Women on Important Areas of Cancer Prevention and How to Detect Potentially Life-Threatening Circumstances
The women of the community will have a rare opportunity to hear crucial medical information from leading experts in their fields Tonight, Sunday, Oct. 7, in Razag Ballroom. Comprehensive lectures will be delivered on several ever-important areas of cancer prevention and how to detect potentially life-threatening circumstances before they reach a critical stage.
The gathering is being arranged by the Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society (RCCS).
The crowd will hear from leading medical professionals. Dr. Michael J. Zelfesky, MD, Vice Chair of radiation Oncology in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center will discuss “Practical Steps and Suggestions for Living a Healthier Life and Reducing Your Cancer Risk”. Dr. Tova C. Koenigsberg, MD FACR, Chief of Division of Breast imaging at Montefiore Medical Center will discuss “Women’s Health and Early Detection.” Rabbi Y. Y. Jacobson will also address the event through a video message and light refreshments will be served.
A highlight of the event will be a moving speech entitled “A Survivor’s Perspective”, delivered by Sara Alevsky. The crowd will hear from Rabbi Moshe Klein, a member of the Application Committee of RCCS, who will describe some of the untold amount of work that goes into each case.

The Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society provides an array of services to cancer patients and their families, enabling them to secure the best possible medical care. Notably, among the myriad services offered by RCCS is health insurance premium and medical services subsidies, as well as medical direction, which provides patients with broader access to global oncologists and leaders in the cancer treatment field.
