Police on Monday, 12 Iyar 5773 arrested seven chareidim who they say interfered with construction at the Schneller construction site in the Geula area of the city. The former IDF base has been sold and it is being developed as a private construction project.
Some twenty chareidim arrived at the construction site protesting the work which they feel compromises kevarim in the area. Police moved in when protestors became unruly.
