Kiryat Ono Chief Rabbi Dr. Ratzon Arussi surprised everyone by announcing he has decided to drop out of the race to become Israel�s next Rishon L�Tzion.

Rabbi Arussi instructs his supporters on the voting body of 150 to cast a vote for Rabbi Tzion Boaron instead of for him. The announcement came just 90 minutes before the election begins, at 15:00 on Wednesday, 17 Menachem Av 5773.
