NYC Mayoral Hopefuls Do Last-Minute Campaigning

deThe New York City mayoral candidates are engaged in their frenzied final full day of campaigning.

Voters will go to the polls on Tuesday to choose their first new mayor since Michael Bloomberg was elected in 2001.

Democrat Bill de Blasio, the public advocate, has a significant lead in the polls. But he’s urging his supporters to take nothing for granted.

He visited three boroughs and told a crowd at a Bronx senior center that the city wants change.

Republican Joe Lhota, meanwhile, has pledged to continue many of Bloomberg’s policies.

Lhota told a crown in Harlem that he predicts an upset win. He says momentum is in his favor.

Lhota’s scheduled to campaign Monday evening with his former boss, ex-mayor Rudy Giuliani, at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.
