The memorial for terror victim Rabbi Meir Chai HY”D, situated between Einav and Shavei Shomron in Shomron was set ablaze by Arabs during the night, the eve of 15 Kislev 5774. The yahrzeit for the terror victim is a month from now.

Gershon Mesika, who heads the Shomron Regional Council, continues releasing statements expressing grave concerns. He explains the security situation continues to deteriorate yet nothing is being done. He pointed out that last week the memorial was targeted with Arab graffiti and now this. He warns “the next thing will be the murder of a soldier chas v’sholom”.

On December 24, 2009 Rabbi Meir Chai HY”D, 45, of Shavei Shomron, was murdered in a drive-by shooting in the area.
