For all the North Americans visiting Eretz Yisrael during winter break the unseasonably warm and sunny weather provides a welcome break from the harsh US winter but the situation is not a good one.

The Badatz Eida Chareidis has called on the tzibur to begin reciting ועננו בורא עולם in the weekday Shmona Esrei prior to Shema Koleinu.

May the zchus of Am Yisrael’s tefilos bring an abundance of badly needed rainfall לברכה ולא לקללה.
