VIDEO: Moshe Feiglin: After PM Loses Referendum, I Will Provide Alternative to Lead Israel

Speaking in Knesset, Deputy Speaker MK Moshe Feiglin explained “The squabbling between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Minister Naftali Bennett over the negotiations is ridiculous. Minister Livni has already announced from the Knesset podium that Jerusalem is already on the negotiating table. We see how Netanyahu is transferring sovereignty over the heart of the city – the Temple Mount – to Jordan. All of this is happening now.

“In other words, they are negotiating about everything and just like Begin and Sharon, Netanyahu will ultimately give them…everything.

“Today, from the Knesset podium, I will tell Netanyahu that the time has come to end the futile arguments. He must clear up the smoke screen and announce a public referendum on the ‘peace’ negotiations. If he will receive a mandate to continue upon the path that he has chosen – that is his prerogative. Personally, I will not remain in the retreat coalition that will come together.

“If the PM will lose the referendum, he will have to go to elections. I promise that I will provide an alternative for leadership of the Nation for all those who seek liberty and Jewish identity.”

  1. There will be no referendum. Feiglin is simply a Likud back bencher who doesn’t even finish high on the list. If the settlers could recruit support from various parties they might have a chance to block concessions, but given that the settlers also kicked out the hareidim (who had been quite willing to support them), they aren’t doing to well.

Meanwhile the US is losing interest in the region and is seriously dismantling its ability to interfere in MIddle East matters. Israel has developed a very western economy, and they are very vulnerable to boycotts. If the US says it won’t support an Israeli presence in the West Bank, few Israelis are willing to undergo hardships in order to object.

  2. MK Feiglin is correct that all of Yerushalayim — including the Har HaBayis — is ours. However, Aliyah LeHar HaBayis Assur (any and all entry to the Temple Mount is prohibited) in accordance with the Psak (Rabbinical ruling) of over 50 Gedolei Yisrael (leading Rabbinical scholars) in the Hodaah VeAzharah document issued after the June ’67 war. This prohibition has been stated and reaffirmed numerous times by the leading Halachic authorities:

  3. Deputy Speaker MK Moshe Feiglin would make a great Prime Minister of Israel…..Israel may even become a Jewish State under his leadership.
