Minister of Environmental Affairs Amir Peretz announced in Knesset on Wednesday, 12 Adar II 5774 that in light of the pesticide tragedy in Yerushalayim he has ordered an official probe. Peretz was referring to the tragedy that claimed the lives of Avigail and Yael Gross z�l, ordering his ministry�s director-general to establish an investigative committee to probe the fatal incident and make recommendations. The director-general will head the investigation which must submit its findings in 90 days.

Peretz stressed that he is not just seeking to investigate the incident, but to learn what actions should and must be taken to prevent future tragedies.

MK Uri Maklev praised Peretz�s decision, praising him in Knesset for his decision.

The tzibur is asked to continue being mispallel for the brothers of the girls who are still recovering in Schneider Children�s Hospital.
