60 rabbonim of different walks of dati leumi life in Eretz Yisrael have signed a document in support of Rabbi Aryeh Stern�s bid to become the next Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Yerushalayim. The document also calls for holding elections to elect the city�s chief rabbis as soon as possible. Rav Stern is the head of the ???? ????? Institute.

The rabbonim write the capital has been without chef rabbis for over a decade and this diminishes the kovod of the holy city. They express confidence that Rabbi Stern is the man to restore kovod to the capital as well as doing what is necessary in the areas of kashrus, the eruv, marriage and burial. They are confident that Rabbi Stern is the man to oversee religious services in Yerushalayim.

The rabbonim are calling for the immediate election of Rav Stern, stating they know him personally and attest to his abilities and suitability for the position.
