Deterioration In Condition Of Terror Victim, Family Asks For Tefillos

The condition of the 22-year-old IDF officer who was severely wounded in the Ir Dovid terror attack a week and a half ago has further deteriorated and the family is asking the public for tefillos.

A statement from the family on Tuesday evening said: “Tonight, the condition of Nadav deteriorated and unfortunately his situation has become more complex. We request from everyone who can to daven for the refuah of Nadav Chaim ben Irit Chaya b’toch sha’ar cholei Yisrael. We hope to hear good news.”

Nadav, who serves in the paratroopers’ brigade, was on leave for Shabbos when he and his family members encountered the terrorist on the way home from shul. He was shot twice by the terrorist but even with two bullets lodged in his body, he succeeded in shooting and neutralizing the terrorist, thwarting a worse attack. His father was lightly injured in the attack.

An investigation of the attack revealed that the 13-year-old terrorist, a resident of Silwan, took a gun that belonged to his brother and boarded a bus toward Ir Dovid. He then hid behind a parked car and waited for Jews, opening fire on a group of Jews at 10:42 a.m. on Shabbos morning.

The public is asked to daven for the refuah sheleimah of Nadav Chaim ben Irit Chaya b’toch sha’ar cholei Yisrael.
