EXPOSED: Lapid’s Hypocrisy: “Those Were Different People”

Channel 12 News reporter Amit Segal exposed the hypocrisy of opposition leader Yair Lapid’s hypocrisy when he hosted him on his show and quoted an article Lapid wrote in 2005 about Israelis protesting against the Disengagement.

At the time, Lapid wrote in his column in Yediot Achranot that protesters should absolutely not be permitted to block streets due to the danger it posed to those who may need to travel to the hospital for treatment.

Segal challenged Lapid on why he’s now one of the leaders of the current protests, which have closed down major highways across Israel. “You wrote: ‘Someone will die. No one should have their lives endangered. In countries where the police are tougher, a person who’s blocking a road is removed within three minutes.'”

“Are you calling for [the protesters] to be removed within three minutes?” Segal asked.

Lapid responded: “What I said in 2005, in different circumstances altogether, isn’t relevant. Because many years have passed, because it’s a different situation, because it’s different people, a different world.”

  1. You heard it from devils mouth
Jews of disengagement are different than Jews of TelAviv beings paid by NGOs

These animals have been preventing peace between Jews and Arabs ever since holocaust and now their enemies are those who are having more children as opposed to the Lapid’s Yashka.
    Depraved animals.
The Jews who build Gaza are different than TelAviv Jews?

YOU CANT GET MORE RACISIST THAN THAT.

  2. Being a son of Tommy, Yair is a rasha ben rasha. He is a willful sinner who will not survive the chevlei Moshiach. As a certified soneh Hashem, Lapid has no redeeming factor.

  3. עוכר ישראל
Like all of them. There might be a new world yet with all old Zionists, left or right. All the same.

  4. Tommy, for all his faults, was an intelligent and honest person, and he loved his country and his people. Yair has none of those qualities.

  5. 1. Yair Lapid is a rasha merusha
    2. His views are certainly hypocritical here, as are YWN’s own views here… disgusting.
    3. The particular tayneh regarding the “different people” phrase is so wrong and stupid. Why must we begin to emulate the stupid liberals and get offended by insults that never existed? He didn’t mean there is a true difference between the people then and now. He just meant, “The situation is different, so stop annoying me! The x is different, the y is different, the z is different… he didn’t mean specifically the people status is different.”

  6. Lapid’s statement goes beyond hypocrisy!
it shows exactly where these inciters of violence in support of a corrupt judicial tyranny are coming from and how they view observant Jews as a sub-class of people. [Kind of like the New York Times!]
That is why the judicial reform is so needed.

  7. Marijuana what is the right thing Lapid Ben Rasha is doing that’s “right”?
He is inciting and calling for civil war, Jews. His mind set is that of getting to destroy economy and cause chaos.

Is that what you advocate? Jews vs Jews? Calling for bloodshed as TelAviv mayor and Olmert and some in the idf saying.
