More Clinton White House Records to Be Released


bcliThe National Archives plans on Friday to release 2,500 more pages of documents from former President Bill Clinton’s White House.

Documents released since February have covered the Clinton administration’s unsuccessful health care overhaul plan, Republicans’ sweeping victories during the 1994 midterm elections and other topics. The records set for release Friday are the third batch to be come from the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Ark.

The records have shed more light on former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton’s role within the administration and her aides’ attempts to shape her public image.

The records are being closely scrutinized by reporters and others as the former secretary of state and U.S. senator contemplates a second presidential campaign.

About 8,000 pages of records have been released so far, part of roughly 30,000 pages expected to be released by the National Archives in the coming weeks.
