Lieberman: Elections are Preferable to Kerry’s Plan

liebAs preparations are underway for a trilateral meeting between the United States, Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority), Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman sent a clear message; that he will not agree to the release of additional murderers from Israeli prisons.

Lieberman was addressing the Jerusalem Post Conference in New York, using the forum to send a clear message to Washington, particularly Secretary of State John Kerry.

“We are at a critical juncture” he explained, explaining that while Israel remains willing to talks with the PA, the recent PA extortion efforts are unacceptable. He stated that he prefers building a new coalition or going to elections if need be, emphasizing his opposition to the release of additional Arab murderers from prison.

Lieberman explained that he supports negotiations but not at any price and the recent unilateral moves by the PA have created new realities.
