Once again terror has claimed innocent lives in Israel, this time shortly before the start of Pesach on Monday evening. Shots rang out at a Jewish vehicle traveling in the Southern Hebron Hills area near the Tarkumiya Checkpoint.

Killed in the attack was Israel Police Chief Superintendent Baruch Mizrachi HY�D, the father of five. His pregnant wife and three of his children were in the vehicle as they were heading to the area for seder. His wife sustained moderate-to-serious injuries and one child was reportedly in light injuries. The niftar was a resident of Modi�in.

Mizrachi, 47, served in the IDF for 25 years and reached the rank of lieutenant-colonel before moving to the police in 2011. The levaya will take place on Wednesday, 16 Nissan 5774, first day of chol hamoed in Eretz Yisrael, at 13:00 in the Mt. Herzl Military Cemetery in Yerushalayim.
