Hamas Executes Two Israeli Spies in Gaza

hamTwo Gazans who were accused of spying for Israel were convicted and sentenced to death. One of the spies was hanged while the other was killed by a firing squad. No explanation is demanded by the UN and the Western community remains silent.

Hamas recently announced it has signed a coalition agreement with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen). In the new government, according to the announcement agreement, Abu Mazen and not Hamas PM Ismail Haniyeh will have the final say concerning executions.

According to Palestinian human rights organizations, over 20 people have been executed in Gaza since Hamas’ successful coup in 2007. At least half of them were reportedly Israeli spies.

  1. It is more likely that they either had nothing to do with Israel and someone wanted to be rid of them, or that they were insufficiently in favor of the war. At least Israel doesn’t go around executing its enemies (though accidents do happen).
