Toronto Mayor Rob Ford wont guarantee he will stay sober if hes re-elected, telling a radio show that people will just have to trust him.
Ford returned this week to City Council from two months in rehab. He said in an interview Friday on Newstalk 1010 that he cant make promises about something over which he has no control.
Ford insisted that returning to lead Canadas largest city and run for re-election Oct. 27 wont compromise his recovery.
Ford said earlier this week that hes used every drug you can probably think of. He blamed substance abuse for the racist and homophobic language hes used.
His reign as mayor has been marred by revelations about his substance abuse. City Council stripped Ford of most of his powers last year.

Seriously folks:

The only beings whose behavior is not in their control are animals and malachim. His statement amounts to one big denial of “free will”.
