Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon during the night spoke with Raphael and Israel Military Industries officials regarding additional Iron Dome system. He thanks them for their amazing work, operating around-the-clock to permit seven of the system to be deployed throughout Israel today.

Some explain that while the system was only promised to achieve 85% success, the fact that more units are around the nation, this has made its operation more efficient and increased its success rate to over 90%.

Ya’alon told the media that the work is ongoing and additional units are going to be operational as Operation Protective Edge is ongoing.
