While at present things are looking good for the right-wing, there is what to be concerned about as the Labor, The Movement and Yesh Atid parties are looking to cut a deal, hoping to establish a centrist/left-wing bloc. The leaders of the parties are confident that if a deal can be reached they can prevent another coalition headed by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. The recent polls the right-wing and chareidim will earn more seats but the centrist/left-wing is by no means becoming complacent. Labor leader Yitzchak Herzog met on Friday 13 Kislev in Washington with The Movement leader Tzipi Livni. They are both in Washington to attend the Saban forum.
Herzog will have an easier time reaching agreement with Livni than Lapid, for the former is less likely to pass the minimum threshold in the next election so she requires a safe base for her party. Lapid on the other hand, while expected to drop from 19 seats to single digits, will enter Knesset if he runs independently. Livni is seeking to secure the second slot on the Labor roster for herself along with additional slots for MKs Amram Mitzne and Amir Peretz, hoping to secure them a place in the top ten slots.
Lapid is reportedly in contact with Livni as he too is considering aligning with other parties ahead of the election for the 20th Knesset.

Has long as the Nationalist parties (Likud, Bayit Yehudi and Yisrael Beinteinu) insist on conscripting hareidim, they have no choice but to form an allians with Center-Left parties. Those parties are saying “better to throw hareidim in jail in Israel, then have settlements in the West Bank”.
At the moment there seems to be some real opposition to the deal from Labor’s rank and file but Livni probably won’t make it into the Knesset if she runs independently so some deal will likely be made.
