Jerusalem Councilman Moshe Leon, who ran in the last mayoral election against Mayor Nir Barkat, has been cleared of alleged wrongdoing in the �Yisrael Beitenu case. The case was closed as a result of a lack of evidence against Leon.
Leon was arrested and questioned in the ongoing investigation into alleged high-level government corruption involving a number of Yisrael Beitenu party officials including a deputy minister and a former cabinet minister. Leon was released from custody following questioning, placed under house arrest.
Leon reportedly cooperated with police investigators and the case against him has been closed.
