What App Did Ehud Barak Invest $1 Million in and Why?


reportyFormer Prime Minister Ehud Barak has invested $1 million into an app that facilitates contacting emergency agencies in the event of an emergency.

In the event of an emergency, the application will decide to phone police, Magen David Adom or the local city emergency number. The emergency dispatcher will not have to ask question for s/he will see what you are seeing and experiencing through the phone.

REPORTY founded and CEO Amir Elichai explains one only has to activate the app and select the type of emergency. The app then begins feeding live video and voice, in both direction, permitting the dispatcher to give instructions to the caller.

Regarding the abduction of the three Gush Etzion kedoshim of last year, Elichai explains in that type of emergency one hits a special button on the app and its works without being detected, shutting down all telephone functions other than dealing with the emergency.

The screen will remain dark the phone silent, but it will be transmitting data to an emergency dispatcher without anyone’s knowledge. The dispatcher will be notified by the phone that the caller is in a crisis mode and that the phone is operating clandestinely, only permitting information feed in the direction of the dispatcher.
