Bayit Yehudi Official: Opposition Indeed Remains an Option

bennBayit Yehudi party Director-General Nir Orbach reports his party’s inclusion in the new coalition is not something that should be taken for granted. He explains the party has been shunned by Likud negotiators and if the party does not feel it is receiving a reasonable share of the government pie, it will opt to sit in the opposition. Orbach stressed that without Bayit Yehudi there cannot and will not be a right-wing coalition.

Speaking to Kalman Lipskind on Galei Yisrael Radio, Orbach stated that if it is assumed Bayit Yehudi will enter the coalition at any cost is sadly mistaken for this is not so.

He explains that the dati leumi community has grown and matured in recent years and “you cannot continue to deliver blows to us and expect us to just accept it”. He stressed that Bayit Yehudi must be certain the new coalition is ideologically in line with its hashkafa and that the party receives what it is entitled to in coalition negotiations.

  1. So if he doesn’t get a nice office with a car, he’ll insist that the foreign ministry (and several more) be turned over to the Labor party. Perhaps he’ll threaten to hold his breath until his face turns blue?

  2. The problem is ,as Bennet realizes, that the masses of Likud want and expect Bayit Yehudi to be an integral part of their Gov’t

  3. The havoc of the Geirus law was as much the culpability/responsibility of kippa wearing Elazar Stern with help from Bennet and Ben Dahan,

    as of Yesh Atid

There is also another one anti-jewish and anti-moral law on the books from last government:All Gov’t Documents instead of stating Father and Mother as formerly now state Parent 1 and Parent 2 ,and all that that applies with regards to adoption, etc.
