The city council of La Seyne-sur-Mer voted overwhelmingly to name a street after Yasser Arafat. The street is in the Berthe neighborhood of the coastal city located in southern France, Var-Matin, a French newspaper reported.
While there was a minority voice calling Arafat a “terrorist” and “controversial” the street naming enjoyed overwhelming support in the city council. Mayor Marc Vuillemont explained the city already has Rabin-Arafat Square, seemingly hard-pressed to understand the objections. The mayor, a socialist, pointed out that Arafat was a recipient of a Nobel Peace Prize.

I am used to anti religious papers submitting pictures of frum yidden in situations not related to the actual story. For a web site calling itself Yeshiva World to use similar tactics is worse than appalling.
