‘Saad Umarpeh’ Clinic in Yerushalayim Commences New Year Amid Chessed

Jerusalem_vistaA high point in the activities this frenzied month is Erev Yom Kippur, when there are so many ways in which they serve the community—including the ingenious preparation of “measured liquids” less than a shiur for those who will need to eat—including soldiers on duty.

In a name that has spread far and wide throughout Eretz Yisroel, this organization which has so dedicated itself to the needs of the ill and their loved ones, this year of 5776 will see renewed efforts and initiatives to ease the plight of Sa’ad Umarpeh’s constituents.

This holy month of Tishrei that is so filled with mitzvos of every kind, takes on a whole new level of dedication to the Jewish community in Yerushalyim, as Sa’ad Umareh—literally meaning aid and healing—addresses every need, and alleviates so much stress.

Each erev Shabbos, as the local health clinics shutter, Sa’ad Umarpeh throws open its doors at Kedushas Aharaon 10 Street, in Kiryat Belz, where anyone in need of clinic needs may come to this state of-the-art medical facility, and receive top-of-the-line medical care by the best of professionals that have been brought in by the directors of this organization.

This Yom Tov season will have many Shabbasos and Yamim Tovim, and this need will be felt much more, as people will be spared going to the hospital—something that takes so much in terms of energy, time, and financial expense.

In addition, this month will find many guests from abroad coming to visit Eretz Yisroel, for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, and so many for Sukkos. In the event that they would need medical attention, this would incur tremendous expense, while they receive Sa’ad Umarpeh’s services at a fraction of the cost.

All of this on top of the many programs that Sa’ad Umarpeh conducts throughout the year in serving the needs of patients and their loved ones. It is ably led by the venerated Reb Chaim Mordechai Fried, a world-renowned askan.

An annual, joyous highlight is the Simchas Beis Hasho’eiva presented by Sa’ad Umarpeh at the auditorium of Shaarei Zedek Hospital. It draws hundreds of patients—especially children—who get this oh-so-needed boost of joy amid their great pain. This is an event that is talked about for months later, and infuses these patients for the fortitude to fight their battle.

Rabbi Fried is available to anyone in need, and any guests from abroad may call him directly at (972)-52-238-6903. Assistance will be given in Yiddish, English, or Hebrew—do not hesitate to reach out for assistance.

This new year will hopefully find all Yidden healthy and joyous. But in the event, R”l, that there is a Jew in need, Sa’ad Umarpeh will rise to the fore—doing what Yidden do best.
