A soldier in Nachal Chareidi from Ashdod, has been charged with stealing grenades from his base in the hope of selling them for a profit. He was apprehended with a grenade in his bag during a search conducted by military police. The prosecution is asking to remand the suspect pending the outcome of his trial.
The indictment was handed down on Sunday, 7 Shevat, in the Beersheva District Court. The indictment states that defendant stole four hand grenades and three stun grenades to sell them. He allegedly smuggled them out of his base in a backpack when he returned home.
