Shortly after taking the oath of office as Israel�s Minister of Defense, Avigdor Lieberman submitted his resignation from Knesset to permit the next person on the Yisrael Beitenu party to enter. One may serve on the cabinet without being a Member of Knesset.

As such, Yulia Malinovsky will replace Lieberman as a MK for Yisrael Beitenu. The party reports in past years she has been extremely active and successful as a member of the Holon city council, involved in many social issues in the areas of housing, the elderly, sport & culture, and more to the benefit of city residents.
