Minister of Religious Services David Azoulai got up and called on Stern to retract his offensive statements against the Rishon LTzion.
The Shas party released a harsh statement against Stern: He is impertinent and insolent. Remove your shoes from your feet as you gape as Maran Rishon LTzion. What do you understand from halacha and dayanus? You are light years away from the world of true halacha. We strongly protest against your behavior and humiliating things you said from the Knesset podium.
Shas adds We call on anyone who feels the kovod of the rabbonus is important to speak out.
