Lelov Chassidim Traveling with the Rebbe – Kosher Phones Only

lelovHundreds of Lelover Chassidim from Eretz Yisrael and around the world are traveling with the Rebbe Shlita to the tziyun of the founder of the chassidus, HaRav HaKadosh Rav David of Lelov ZT”L, in Lelov Poland for the yahrzeit. They are marking 200 years since his petira.

A tisch will be held on Thursday evening 6 Shevat during which the rebbe will address participants. A large tent was set in place for the event.

The rebbe sent a letter to chassidim ahead of the trip in which he asks that participants carry only kosher phones to the holy site and not to use non-kosher phones for any reasons whatsoever.

Following is the wording of the letter sent on behalf of the rebbe:

  1. Seems like a reasonable request…if you are so committed to the traditions of this chassidus and are willing to spend thousands of dollars to travel on this pilgrimage, doing without your iPhone for a week shouldn’t be a problem. Just rent a kosher phone for a week or leave it in your hotel room and don’t use it when the Rav is around.
