Tucson Shooting Victim Arrested At Town Hall Event

One of the victims from the Tucson shootings has been arrested and involuntarily committed to a mental health facility, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office.

Eric Fuller was arrested Saturday after authorities said he allegedly took a photo and said “You’re Dead”, to Tea Party spokesman Trent Humphries.

Humphries was speaking at a town hall event to discuss the shootings that happened a week earlier outside a Tucson Safeway store.

Pima County sheriff’s spokesman Jason Ogan said that Fuller has been charged with threats and intimidation and he also will be charged with disorderly conduct.

In addition, Ogan said Fuller has been involuntarily committed to a mental health facility.

No further details on Fuller’s commitment were immediately available.

Fuller was one of 19 people shot by alleged gunman Jared Loughner.

During an interview with CBS 5 reporter Elias Johnson just five days after he was shot, Fuller said the shooting made him realize he would save the world some day.

Fuller also told Johnson he went to Rep. Gabriel Gifford’s public event because he felt he had to “protect” her.
