N.J. Gov. Christie Tops List Of Republicans In Hypothetical Race For Presidential Nomination

An online poll conducted by Zogby Interactive puts Gov. Chris Christie ahead of other Republicans in a hypothetical matchup for the 2012 presidential nomination.

Christie, who has said repeatedly and emphatically that he is not running for president, received the most support, 19 percent, among Republicans asked about their preference for the nomination. Christie received 19 percent of the support, followed by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin who received 13 percent.

Real estate developer Donald Trump and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romeny came next with 9 percent each followed by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee with 8 percent.

When Christie was omitted from the sample, Palin topped the list of potential candidates with 14 percent of the support.

When asked which Republican best represented the voter’s values and views, Palin topped the list with 17 percent, followed by Christie at 14 percent.

The poll also found a plurality think Christie is the best chance to beat President Barack Obama, with 19 percent, followed by Donald Trump at 11 percent.

The poll of 2,168 likely voters was conducted online, a format that some pollsters question, and included a margin of error of +/- 2.1 percentage points.

  1. May the Lord help us if Trump/Palin or Romney win the primary. Palin and Romney are unelectable and Trump knows nothing about economics. How many times has he declared bankruptcy? I lost count.

  2. 1. Trump knows nothing about economics????? Obviously you are still inebriated from purim of years past. The current president NEVER held a real job, NEVER owned a company, and NEVER made a payroll.

The bottom line is heaven help us if socialists like yourself reelect Present Obama who as president still doesn’t know how to make a decision.

  3. Mark Levin instead of getting hysterical you can answer the question.

I never said I liked Obama, in fact I despise him.
