Tuesday, Morning News Briefs From Eretz Yisrael

** Hundreds took part in the levaya Monday night for Elya Eli z”l, who drowned in Uman during Rosh Hashanah. The levaya was held in the Vatikim neighborhood of Netanya.

** YNET: Egyptian Petroleum Minister Abdullah Ghorab said Tuesday that the draft agreement on amended natural gas export tariffs between Egypt and Israel “is expected to be ready soon”. According to Ghorab the tariff will undergo a “significant increase”.

** Haaretz: Protestors in Tuba el-Zangaria fired live ammunition at Israel police during violent confrontations during the night.

12:45: IAF combat helicopters fire at suspicious targets in southern Gaza. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

** An autopsy of an 82-year-old woman who died in a Kfar Saba nursing home recently indicated she was suffocated to death. Police suspect her caretaker.

** A 32-year-old man working in an event hall was electrocuted on Tuesday. MDA EMTs found him in cardiac arrest. He was resuscitated and transported to Barzilai Hospital in critical condition.
