TEHILLIM: IDF Soldier Seriously Wounded In Hand Grenade Explosion


An IDF soldier sustained serious injuries when in a hand grenade explosion during a training exercise at the Shivta base in southern Israel.

The soldier was evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva for medical treatment. It was determined his hand would have to be amputated.

Behadrei reports the soldier is from a Chareidi family. Please be mispallel for Noam Shimon ben Miriam.

Major General Kobi Barak instructed Col. Shuki Ribak of the Ground Forces and Ground Paratroopers Brigade to lead an investigation into the incident

He also ordered the military to stop using grenades during training until the end of the initial investigation.
