IAF Scrambles Fighter Jets After Jordanian Passenger Plane Veers Off Course

Early reports are coming in that the Israeli Air Force scrambled a squadron of fighter jets after a Royal Jordanian passenger plane flying from Cairo came to close to Israeli airspace.

According to sources inside the IAF, the plane had no authorization to enter Israeli airspace. The fighter jets warned the plane to turn around and avoid Israeli airspace and it eventually corrected its course. Initial investigations have indicated that the plane had a malfunction with its communication system causing it to veer off course.

Following the Royal Jordanian plane’s exit from Israeli airspace, the IAF fighter Jets returned to base.
