A Jerusalem Fire Department spokesman reports a fire broke out in the Russian Compound Detention Center in downtown Jerusalem on Monday afternoon 2 Kislev. There were acrid smoke conditions and this compelled the evacuation of certain wings with the assistance of Israel Prison Service officers.

Firemen worked to ventilate the building and extinguish the blaze. B’chasdei Hashem, there are no injuries reported.
