Terrorist Posted His Anger at Trump Announcement on Facebook Prior to Committing Attack

According to Facebook posts written by the terrorist who attacked a security guard in Jerusalem on Sunday afternoon, the terrorist attacked a Jewish target because he was angry at the announcement made by U.S. President Donald Trump last week. Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city and said that he instructed the U.S. Foreign Office to make preparations to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Palestinian media sources identified the terrorist as 24-year-old Yasin Abu al-Qur’a who hails from the town of Talluza located near Shechem.

Hadashot News reported that the terrorist’s family has ties to the Fatah party and two of his brothers serve in the Palestinian Authorities security forces. Other reports indicate the terrorist’s father is retired PA General Yousef al-Qur’a.

The terrorist wrote on Facebook in Arabic: “In your path, O homeland, O Jerusalem, O Al Aqsa, our blood is cheap.” The post was written late Saturday night, about 16 hours prior to the attack.

He also had posted a popular chant at Palestinian protests, in Arabic: “For the sake of Allah we have risen, our demand is to raise the flag, so our religion may once again be sublime, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque will again be glorious.”

This post was accompanied by a picture of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Video taken from the Central Bus Station’s security cameras, showed the terrorist handing his bag to the security guard for inspection when he suddenly took out a knife and stabbed the guard in his chest.
