Firefighters in Herzliya Pituach tell of their Chanukah miracle, a call to a fire on the eighth night of Chanukah, at 11:30pm, a residential home. They believed it was a routine call but quickly realized there were family members, children, trapped inside as the hot acrid smoke bellowed from the home.

There was a sense of relief for as long as they heard screams and cries for assistance, they explained, for they knew the children were alive. The first out was the toddler standing in the crib, and then the other two siblings. They managed to get the children out within ten minutes.

In this case, B’chasdei Hashem the family was rescued and while the children spent a night in a hospital for observation, no one sustained serious injury. For these firemen, who tell their story, this Chanukah, they were part of a family’s miracle.
