The fire department was summoned to Meah Shearim on Tuesday night, 28 Shevat, to extinguish garbage receptacles set ablaze by Peleg and Eida Chareidis-affiliated protesters. Some of the fires were endangering the area electricity grid, as well as homes and stores.
When the fire trucks arrived, they were greeted with rocks and other items, which were hurled at firefighters. Dozens of protesters also blocked the street.
Despite the heavy rock-throwing, the firemen continued on their mission and extinguished the fire. B’chasdei Hashem there were no injuries.

Sorry ,I made a mistake. To know how to put out a fire requires training and use of the water supplied by the Zionists. To know how to treat a burn victim requires education and drugs and hospitals also supplied by the Zionist enemy. Therefore my proposal is not doable.

These clowns are rodefim. Setting fires puts people’s lives at risk, and then they attack the firemen who are coming to protect them from the very danger that they created.
It’s time for the rest of us in the Frum world to boycot the eidah and its institutions, including its hechsher. How can we trust the kashrus of a group that allows such out and out thugs, batlanim, even rodefim to run around. The Eidah leadership needs to ensure that such behavior will not be tolerated.
the firemen should have left and waited till the residents made sure the area was safe for them. Do not give any money to any mosods in Israel that dose not condemn these vile acts.

The problem that exists when giving publicity is that it will encourage others to join, and/or, for the existing members to escalate. As those involved in these events are allegedly too holy to ever use the internet, the problem of giving them publicity does not, theoretically, exist..
We should DEMAND of Eida affiliated tzedaka orgs. to condemn such crazy actions, or we should ban these mosdos from asking for OUR MONEY!
Can YWN stop smearing entire communities? The protests shown above were not called for by the Peleg or the Eidah Hachareidis. The participants are members of the Neturei Karta, a group that is considered radical lekol hadeios.
The Eidah Hachareidis never blocks streets it makes fires. An official Eidah protest consists of a gathering in Kikar Zupnik (their privately owned property) in which tehillim is said and there are different speeches from the members on the Badatz.
A peleg protest happens per the instructions from Hagaon Rav Shmuel Aurbach Shlita in which they peacefully protest, including civil disobedience such as blocking streets. Those protests are rarely violent. The last time there was a peleg protest was rosh chodes kisleiv. The time before that was right after succos.
The Eidah made a protest Monday night on their private property.
The dumpster fires on Thursday nights and the rock throwing that YWN eagerly credits the Eidah and peleg for are done by members of the Neturei Karta.
