VIDEO/PHOTOS: Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat Meets With VP Pence In The White House

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat visited the White House in an official capacity, meeting with US Vice President Pence.

In the video he released from outside the White House, Barkat refers to Pence as a “true friend’, adding the vice president was given the Defender of Jerusalem Award for “unwavering support for the city of Jerusalem”.

The two decided to remain in touch to advance to continue working together. The mayor also praised the efforts of Special Mideast Envoy Jason Greenblatt and “Good friend” US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman.
