In what is labeled a historic visit, HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita on Tuesday, the second day Chol Hamoed Pesach, visited the Belzer Rebbe Shlita in the rebbe’s home in Yerushalayim.
The rebbe and his entourage were waiting for Rav Kanievsky to arrive, and when he did, the rebbe entered the minibus transporting the Rav and they two immediately began a discussion of Pesach-related Torah. Then, grandson Rav Yaakov Kanievsky turned to his grandfather and said, “The Rebbe has thousands of chassidim around the world. He works on behalf of Yiddishkheit everywhere, including baalei teshuvah”. Maran gave the rebbe a bracha and they parted as they said א-גוטן מועד, זיי געזונט , a good Moed and be healthy.
It is reported that while there was little connection between the two in the past, a special connection has developed of late, especially in recent weeks, as the Gedolim have been discussing issues pertaining to the draft and the possibility of early elections.
Prior to arriving at the rebbe’s home, Rav Kanievsky visited the Kosel.

I believe that Tuesday is the 3rd day chol hamoed in Israel not the second day.
Was there some broigas between Rav Chaim and the Belzer rebbe in the past or was the “little connection” referenced in the article simply the outcome of the two not crossing paths. Also, the article seems to say that the meeting was conducted entirely on the minibus which seems strange but perhaps they simply started their exchanges on the bus and subsequently moved into the Rebbe’s home.
The Ruv zol marich yumim zayn, intentionally came down to see R. Chaim Shlit”a, who is 20 years his senior, in his vehicle so as not to be matriarch him to come up to his house.

It is truly a huge zchus to see these two preeminent Gedolei Yisroel together.
Yes the meeting was conducted in the mini bus only,Reb Chaim did not go into the house,it’s very strange either he was not invited in or he for whatever reason did not want to enter the house,very strange,can’t imagine someone making a special trip from Bnei Brak to Jerusalem and not entering his host’s house but staying in the car.
by the way the Belzer’s house has an elevator ,so Reb Chaim could have used it if he had a problem with climbing stairs.

Chatzkal,don’t you think it would MENTSHLICH to invite him into his home,after all he was MATRIACH himself to come all the way from Bnei Brak,
Would any of us POSHETE YIDDEN have the audacity to not invite into our home someone who went out of his way and drove for an hour to come and see us and we would insist on meeting only in the car .
I guess we cannot expect Rebbe’s to behave MENTSHLICH because after all they are not human but are MALOCHIM
