MK Nissim Ze�ev is among the most veteran Shas MKs, not to mention among the party�s founders. He is one of the audible voices from within the party who feels Aryeh Deri�s recent ethnicity campaign to attract Sephardi voters has not been successful since Shas hasn�t risen in the polls.

Deri has been highlighting how Shas and Shas alone will advance the cause of Sephardim and continue combating ethnic discrimination. Ze�ev on the other hand feels Shas should abandon that campaign and focus on tooting the party horn, to remind voters of just what Shas has accomplished over the years.

A Shas MK quoted anonymously by the daily Yisrael Hayom says �Many of the MKs are not in agreement, wishing to ditch the ethnicity campaign�, preferring to simply focus on reminding the tzibur of the party�s accomplishments in recent years.
