Former MK Dov Lipman Leaves Yesh Atid

The Yesh Atid party’s frum MK, Rabbi Dov Lipman, was ousted from the party list, Kikar Shabbos News reports. Party officials report the former MK left the lineup on his own. Lipman was the representative who party officials hoped would draw Frum voters.

Lipman is a social activist who is part of the modern Orthodox community in Beit Shemesh. However, among members of the chareidi parties, he was viewed as an enemy, and during the period of passing the IDF draft law he expressed views in favor of recruiting yeshiva students.

In recent days, due to various circumstances, it was decided that Lipman would leave the party. Sources in Yesh Atid have made it clear in the messages sent to activists that Lipman is no longer active or represents the party. The Kikar Shabbos News report adds that party officials report Lipman left for “personal reasons”.

It should be noted that Lipman left his official position in the party two years ago following disagreements with Lapid, but last Thursday he announced his resignation from the party. The report quotes Lipman saying, “He left for personal reasons”.

  1. Too late. The irreversible damage has been done R”L. It’s not too late though, for him to apologize to the entire Torah community for all the pain & suffering he caused.
