Minister of Transportation Katz Hints that Israel was Behind Latest Attack in Syria

Transportation Minister (Likud) Yisrael Katz on Wednesday, 24 Iyar, fell short of admitting Israel targeted Syria during the night, an attack that foreign media reports claim killed fifteen, including seven Iranians, among them a general.

Katz told Ynet that Iran has threatened Israel publicly, calling for the annihilation of the Jews and the Jewish state. He went on to explain that Israel acting today will save lives in the future, and that the Iranians do not understand any other language. Katz explained Israel’s goal is to get Iran to leave Syria and not to takeover Syria. He stressed the importance of eliminating the continued buildup of Iranian forces in Syria, adding this was the reason for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s current visit to Moscow, where he is meeting with President Vladimir Putin.
