Israel border police prevented 68 PA (Palestine Authority) residents from illegally crossing the Green Line into ‘Israel proper’. One of the PA residents was injured lightly as he tried fleeing police. A border police medic treated him on the scene.

Border police officials report this occurred during the predawn hours on Sunday, 15 Elul, in the Yehuda district, at the Metar Crossing. All of those taken into custody live in the PA areas of Hebron and adjoining PA villages, ranging in age from 20 to 60.

Border police officials report that they are increasing border awareness with the opening of school season and the upcoming Tishrei Yomim Tovim.
