Minister of Religious Services (Shas) David Azoulai took a significant turn for the worse during Simchas Torah, and according to reports from Shas leader Aryeh Deri, he is now fighting for his life.

Azoulai, who is battling a difficult illness, was released to his home on erev Sukkos, amid an awareness his condition was not good. During Simchas Torah, he took a significant turn for the worse and the minister�s doctor was summoned.

Deri has announced he has canceled his agenda on motzei yomtov, which included Hakofos Sheniyos around the country, returning home late at night. During his visit to Azoulai�s home, Deri released an impassion call to the tzibur to be mispallel for Azoulai, David ben Perla bsoch cholei yisrael, who explained �is in need of Rachmei Shomayim�.
